Manchester City 0 vs 0 Manchester United
Huge opportunity for Otamendi! A lovely delivery from Sane swings into the United box and finds Otamendi in a great position in front of goal, but his downward header takes a deflection off Bailly that sends it over the top of the crossbar.
Toure shows great strength to out-muscle Bailly just outside of the United penalty area as he tries to charge his way into the box, but Blind is there to stop the Ivorian midfielder from doing so with a last-ditch tackle.
Sane goes down inside the box, but nothing is given! United are unable to clear the danger fully and allow Sane to dart into the penalty area before taking on Valencia. He goes down under a tackle from the defender and quickly appeals for a penalty, but the referee isn’t at all interested and waves play on.
Martial slips and ends up catching Sterling, resulting in a free-kick for City in a dangerous position deep down the right wing. De Bruyne steps up and swings a cross into the middle of the penalty area, where it’s headed away by Fellaini before it can find Kompany.
City have started the second half really well and are putting United under plenty of pressure. Once again, Aguero causes problems for the visitors before firing a low shot from the edge of the box, but De Gea is comfortably able to stop the effort with another easy save.
Herrera and Toure tangle in the middle of the pitch as they battle for the ball, and Fernandinho then flies into the United midfielder to clatter him to the floor. The Spaniard reacts angrily and a slight fracas kicks off, but the referee does well to quickly bring it to an end.
Sane is dispossessed deep inside the United half of the pitch and allows the visitors to counter quickly. Rashford flies down the right wing and cuts inside before taking on Otamendi once again, but this time the centre-back comes out on top thanks to a smart tackle.
Another great opportunity for Aguero! The striker leaves Blind for dead as he spins round the Dutchman and unleashes a shot from the edge of the box, but there’s slightly too much power behind it and it sails a few yards over the top of the crossbar.
A half-hearted United attack comes to an end and allows City to counter quickly. They initially get forward well before De Bruyne tries to set up Sane, but his pass towards the German is completely overhit and rolls through to De Gea.
Aguero is initially dispossessed by Fellaini just outside of the United penalty area but does well to quickly win the ball back. He then plays a quick one-two with Yaya Toure before penetrating the box, but he’s too slow to get a pass away and is tackled by Matteo Darmian.
City patiently hold on the ball as they try to find a way through the sea of red shirts camped in front of them. They’re unable to make it much further than the halfway line, however, as United look compact and well-organised.
Ouch! Henrikh Mkhitaryan tries to skip past Fernandinho after managing to control a loose, bouncing ball, but the United man is clattered into by the Brazilian and is sent crashing to the ground. He looks fine to continue, though.Promote Your Music On This Platform Contact : Mobile : +2348132090729 BBM:33428A0F Email : email@example.com Twitter : @ijebuloadedNG
