A nine year old girl was rushed to the State Specialist Hospital Akure, Ondo state on Friday,16th November 2018, bleeding profusely from the private part having been sexually abused by man of 40 years old identified as Akin.
The matter was reported at Ala Police Station, Akure, where the suspect is being detained.
According to Thomas Wilson, the girl’s mother, a poor widow, is however concerned that she may not get justice, going by the body language of the authorities, since she doesn’t have “what it takes” to prosecute the case.
Concerned citizens are calling on the Ondo state government, the Nigerian Bar Association, the Nigerian Medical Association, the civil and Human Rights societies, the Press and others to join in order to get justice for the victim who is currently hospitalised. .
