The Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, says no laws have been breached by the service during the time spent connecting with pre-shipment investigation inspection agents and monitoring and evaluation for oil and gas trades from Nigeria, Channels TV reports.
The minister said this while showing up before the House of Representatives Committee on Public Procurement which is investigating affirmations of abuse, breach, and violations of the public procurement act during the time spent engaging the consultants
The minister disagreed with the lawmakers who told her that the Nigeria Export supervision scheme under which the agents are being engaged requires budgetary approval from the national assembly.
