The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics has promised to set out on an uncertain strike with impact from Monday.
The choice was the result of the National Executive Council meeting of ASUP meeting on Saturday at the Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna State, ChannelsTV detailed.
The mechanical activity takes after the disappointment of the Federal Government to actualize every one of the agreement it entered with the union since 2016.
The union bemoaned that in spite of the long stretch given to the government to address a portion of the issues it raised, the administration did not think of it as important to address the requests for enhanced subsidizing of polytechnic instruction in the nation.
ASUP President, Usman Dutse, and Zone A Coordinator, Kabiru Yunusa, informed columnists not long after the crisis meeting which went on for a few hours.
Dutse, who noticed that the union had given government adequate time to execute all understandings, said they had no way out than to leave on an uncertain strike after the termination of the 21-day final proposal issued prior.
As indicated by him, a portion of the requests incorporates non-usage of the NEEDS Assessment Report and setbacks in work force discharges and withdrawal of stipends.
