Accident: Parents besiege FUTA over students’ well-being

Following the street twist of fate which claimed the lives of 4 college students of the Federal college of generation, Akure, on Saturday, mother and father were journeying the college to realize if their wards had been some of the casualties.

No fewer than four students of the group lost their lives while 11 others got injured in a fatal avenue twist of fate that befell on Akure-Ilesa throughway at Ibulesoro city in Ifedore local government region of Ondo kingdom after they have been traveling to Ibadan, the Oyo kingdom capital for a religious programme.

A figure, Mrs. Agnes Adetifa instructed our correspondent that she was very disturbed whilst she couldn’t reach her baby on the telephone while she heard of the information of the coincidence.

She stated, “I must rush all the way down to the college to return and see my child because I could not get her and her room mate on cellphone on Saturday after I noticed the news of the coincidence on facebook, this is why I quick came right down to see her. ”

The public members of the family Officer of the college, Mr. Adegbenro Adebanjo, in his reaction, denied the influx of parents on the campus saying there was no panic or anxiety in the school over the incident.

He stated, “I don’t suppose that is real, even though the parents have been coming to the college, it is able to be out of abundance of caution and to additionally show solidarity to their kids.
