Nigerian Recording Artist, Azeez Fashola Popularly Known as Naira Marley Resumes Trial Next Month, Risk 7 Years Jail If Found Guilty
Nigerian controversial singer, Naira Marley was released on the 14th of June, 2019, exactly 14 days after he was granted bail by the Ikoyi High court, after he was being arrested by the EFCC alongside Zlatan and three other guys in connection with cyber crime.
The trial however resumes in a month’s time as the artiste needs to answer to all charges leveled against him by the Anti Graft agency.
Remember that EFCC had levelled an 11-count charge against Naira Marley; the alleged crimes were in contravention of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act and the Cyber Crimes Act, and the artiste risks seven years in jail if he is found guilty.
The charges with suit number FHC/L/178C/19 were filed before a Lagos State High Court, ten days after his arrest. Naira Marley was arraigned before Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos
