The decision to suspend the midfielder, who joined United from Juventus for £89m in the early hours of Tuesday, came after he had picked up two bookings in last season’s Coppa Italia while at Juventus.
His name appeared on a list of four players tweeted out by the FA as suspended for this weekend’s fixtures, including his United team-mate Chris Smalling.

United manager Jose Mourinho admitted he learned of Pogba’s suspension on Wednesday and had been looking ahead to the decision as he knew approximately the yellow playing cards but was no longer positive if the ban would carry over to the choicest League.
Speakme at a press conference on Friday, Mourinho stated:
“I don’t speak about him [Pogba]. He’s suspended. I don’t communicate about the ones that are not prepared to play, so I forget Paul for some days. Tuesday he may be ready to play in opposition to Southampton.
“I knew the scenario with the yellow cards. However I didn’t know at that point if an accumulation of yellows would bring a player to suspension, or that one in Italian football could be one for the corresponding opposition in England which would be an FA Cup in shape. I discovered out two days ago.”
meanwhile, Bournemouth winger Junior Stanislas is out with a hernia hassle however £15m membership record signing Jordan Ibe is most of the likely debutants.
