Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has stated that despite his teammate Eden Hazard’s difficulties in Spain, he does not feel sorry for him.
Since joining Los Blancos from Chelsea in 2019, Hazard’s career has been a complete disaster.
In his first three seasons, the Belgian international struggled with his conditioning.
Hazard spent the most of the 2022–2023 season on the bench under Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti.
However, Kroos argues that the 32-year-old has many reasons to be grateful.
“Of course it’s a difficult situation, but pity is out of place in football.
“I don’t think Eden has a bad life. You can feel sorry for people who have a much worse life than him. It’s not about money, I don’t feel sorry for anyone in football,” Kroos told Eleven Sports.
