Former Barcelona player and manager Ronald Koeman has delivered a scathing critique of Barcelona President Joan Laporta. He stated that Laporta’s management style has been problematic for the Catalan club.
Koeman referenced his own departure from Camp Nou as well as Lionel Messi’s, noting that both club legends left in 2021.
He also commented on Barcelona’s interest in Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams.

In an interview with AS, the Netherlands coach emphasized that Barcelona needs to show more respect to their club legends.
“In recent years, Barca’s problem has been that Messi is out, I am out, Xavi is out…
“I think the best thing is to respect the club’s legends. That is much more important than fighting for a player.
“Barca has to be at the top and lately in recent years it has not been there to compete.
“I think it is because of the Board because they work in a way that is not good.”
