Actress and producer Yvonne Jegede has announced the heartbreaking loss of one of her foster children, Olamide Ajimuda, due to cholera. Jegede, who has been single-handedly supporting three children despite her financial challenges since 2019, shared her grief and gratitude on Instagram.
She revealed that two of the children she supported recently graduated from secondary school, including Olamide’s sister. Jegede had met Olamide when he was in primary 4, and he was expected to progress to junior secondary school 3 after the summer break.
Expressing her faith in God’s providence, she highlighted how this faith has enabled her to support the children despite her limited financial resources. In a touching tribute to Olamide, she said, “I’m heartbroken because I lost one of my children to cholera. Olamide and I met when he was in primary 4, and he was supposed to go to JSS3 after this summer break. The news broke my heart. I am also happy that two of my children graduated yesterday from secondary school, and one of them is Olamide’s sister. I don’t have all the money in the world, but this makes my world complete.
