OWERRI—Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, has portrayed the recent release of more than 3,000 laborers by Governor Rochas Okorocha, as “most rash, coldhearted and totally ailing in financial sense”.
Boss Ihedioha, who responded through his media helper, Mr. Chibuike Onyeukwu, similarly censured the scrapping of 19 government parastatals, offices and offices.
“There is probably the Nigerian economy is confronting a downturn as a consequence of diminishing oil income yet the arrangement is not self-assertive withdrawal of laborers and scrapping of key parastatals, for example, the Hospital Management Board, Imo Water Corporation, Imo State Investment Promotion Agency, Imo State Library Board, Agricultural Development Program and others”, Ihedioha said.
It was the considered sentiment of the previous Deputy Speaker that “having moored his decision battle mantra on occupation, industry, manufacturing plant and business, Imo individuals anticipated more occupations, livelihood opportunities and enhanced working conditions as opposed to withdrawing the officially disheartened specialists”.
He denounced Governor Okorocha’s inclination for sacking a huge number of laborers as the just different option for tending to monetary issues confronting the state.
