Three people, a female and two guys, on Tuesday lost their lives in a numerous mishap including a verbalized vehicle and nine others along the Upper Iweka street, Onitsha in Anambra.
Mr Sunday Ajayi, the state Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), while affirming the occurrence, said nine losses were taken to three doctor’s facilities.
Ajayi said the mishap happened at the Lagos Park hub of the Upper Iweka street at around 10.15 a.m.
“As at the season of detailing, we had nine losses in three doctor’s facilities specifically: Toronto Hospital, St. John Hospital and Bethsaida Specialist Hospital, all in Onitsha.
“Three people have been affirmed dead while six others are truly harmed yet are being dealt with in those healing centers,” Ajayi said.
The division officer said the “focused on” enunciated vehicle with enlistment number ENU69XY which was making a beeline for the Onitsha Bridgehead had a brake disappointment and slammed into a few different vehicles out and about.
He ascribed the high number of loss to the utilization of just a segment of the Enugu – Onitsha road because of continuous asphalting on the other segment by the state government.
