Biography

Salami Adekunle Maleek (Born January 14) better known by his stage name as SIRLAMMZ, is a Nigerian recording artiste. He is not currently signed to any record label. Sirlammz won CMA Artiste of the Year 2017 Award. His debut singles, Ambition and Aronipin, featuring Lade and Zlatan Ibile respectively was released in 2015, Having won the Etisalat Cliqfest Rap battle, Mtn Invasion and also Vantage Montage rap battle rounding it up with many competition he has won in school back to back.

Life and career

Sirlammz was born into a Muslim family, his father is from Moro Local Government Area, Kwara State, while his mother is from Ogbomosho, Oyo State. He grew up in a disciplinarian setting because of the nurture of the parent he completed his secondary school in Lagos, and started his first ever studio session in 2012 with the stage name “DA FLAMES” having discovered his talent right from primary school when Dagrin died, He had the thought of taking over from him and to give his best that Hip Hop don’t die. He derived his stage name ‘SIRLAMMZ’ during secondary school days with a short unique idea of his surname “SALAMI” so he came across tweaking it as “SIRLAMMZ” and finally and he fell in love with the name.

Sirlammz was a student of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic(MAPOLY), Abeokuta, Ogun State. He cited God as his biggest inspiration and Burna Boy, Eminem, Wizkid as his key musical inspirations..
