Legislative head of Ondo state and Chairman, South West Governors Forum, Arakunrin Rotimi Akerodolu on Thursday stated, governors of the South West will guarantee that they give the stuff for the security of lives and properties in the area.
Akeredolu gave the affirmation in his comments at the on-going South West Governors, the Inspector General of Police and different Stakeholders Summit on Community Policing occurring at the Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja.
He said the time has come to confront reality which is network policing in light of the characteristic of each state, including this is what is done in cutting edge nations and the time has come to grasp it due to various security challenges which has overstretched the traditional police.

“This is something critical to us all, something we can not imagine about, we should be straightforward with ourselves, we all concur that we are confronting security challenges, the National Assembly, the President, no one is content with the state of affairs going, we should have a reconsider about focal police, there is a lot on the IG’s table”, Aketedolu said.
Dignitaries at the summit which has gone into a private session as at the hour of filling this report incorporates: Governors of Lagos, and Ondo states, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Akeredolu, Oyo, Ogun, Osun and Ekiti states are spoken to by their representative governors, Engr, Rauf Olaniyan, Engr. (Mrs) Noimot Oyedele, Mr. Benedict Alabi and Mrs. Bisi Egbeyemi.
Likewise present are: the Inspector General of Police, Mohamned Adamu, all the Commissioners of Police from the six South West states, other security equips in Lagos state, Commissioners for Justice/Attorney-Generals from the South West states, Royal dads, Community Development Committee agents and others.
