Code of Conduct: Tribunal threatens to strike out charges against Orubebe

The Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau, Danladi Umar, on Wednesday debilitated to strike out the charges of gift and false resources statement favored against previous Minister of Niger-Delta Affairs, Godsday Peter Orubebe.

‎Umar gave the notice after the indictment fizzled for the third time on Wednesday to open its case and call its witness when called upon to do as such.

The tribunal director, however declined to consent to the solicitation by the protection counsel, Mr.‎ Selekowei Larry (SAN), deciding that the arraignment would be given one more opportunity to open its case.

He governed, “Hosting considered the contentions of gatherings and in perspective of the aim of ACJA, which is to quick track the organization of criminal equity, the indictment will be given only one chance to return and continue with the case, falling flat which the tribunal will strike out the case for them to put their home all togeth
