A day after saying his new album KOD might be coming this Friday, J. Cole has unveiled the provocative paintings and tune listing.
“Cover and back,” he tweeted Wednesday (April 18). The front paintings depicts a king hiding a group of kids beneath his robe, each one collaborating in a special vice or unlawful interest — snorting cocaine, popping capsules and smoking.
Similarly, the returned artwork also capabilities kids using via the clouds on a car fabricated from illegal pills. But eeriest of all, it appears that the children on the duvet are becoming skeletons. “This album is in no manner meant to glorify dependancy,” it additionally reads.
J. Cole placed on a unfastened pop-up display in New York City on Monday night time. The rapper introduced that he’d be performing at Gramercy Theatre mere hours in advance, and lucky lovers noticed him perform all 12 tracks from KOD.

KOD is Cole’s first album since 2016’s 4 Your Eyez Only, which debuted at No. 1 at the Billboard two hundred. While J. Cole’s enthusiasts regularly tout that album’s loss of capabilities, in keeping with the KOD song listing, there may be one obvious function this time around: “Kill Edward” is protected on tracks.
