On the heels of an arrest for inciting a riot at his show in Arkansas this past weekend, Travis Scott unleashed a trio of new tracks on his Soundcloud late Monday night (May 15), tantalizing fans until the release of his long-awaited upcoming album Astroworld.
Over hard-pounding bass drums and creepy foundation murmurs, an auto-tuned La Flame raps on “A Man” about the “favors that I can’t disregard” and his luxurious buys (“spent ‘session sixty on the time, I can’t lie”), binding his mark adlibs in with the general mish-mash. Travis Scott interfaces up with Playboi Carti on “Green and Purple” and Murda Beatz on the dim “Butterfly Effect”.
Travis Scott is readying himself to head on tour with “goosebumps” collaborator Kendrick Lamar for the upcoming DAMN tour, which will begin on July 12. In a recent interview with GQ, Scott also revealed that he’ll be releasing new music and a collaborative project with Quavo soon. “You know how I do it though: I like surprises” he said.
