Barcelona will entertain Granada at the Nou Camp on Sunday night hoping to bounce back from their 3-2 loss against Atletico Madrid in the Supercopa de Espana. The Catalans will begin a new era after Ernesto Valverde was relieved of his managerial duties earlier this month.
Quique Setién will take charge of his first game as the Barca boss and will be forced to make a few changes to his first-team this weekend.
4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Granada
Defence
Marc Andre ter Stegen should return to the Barca first-team and operate in between the sticks for this La Liga clash versus Granada. Gerard Pique will play alongside Clement Lenglet at the heart of the Catalans backline as they look to secure a clean sheet in front of their home supporters at the Nou Camp.
Sergi Roberto might get the nod to operate as the right-back while Jordi Alba puts his pace to good use on the other side in the left-back position. Nelson Semedo will be available on the bench as he provides cover for both full-back positions.
The Spanish champions have been quite leaky at the back this season after conceding 23 goals in 19 league matches thus far.
Midfield
Setién might opt for a midfield three of Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Busquets and Arturo Vidal as they focus on combining passes at the centre of the park to create some decent goal-scoring opportunities for the front players. Arthur Melo will miss out on this game due to a groin injury while Frenkie de Jong is suspended for this clash.
The Barca midfielders will be expected to be in a strong showing on Sunday, but it could prove to be a tricky test for them as their opponents are currently flying high, having won three of their past four matches across all competitions.
Attack
Luis Suarez will be out for four months with a knee injury so Ansu Fati might get a runout as part of the Barca frontline. The talented youngster will operate alongside Antoine Griezmann and Lionel Messi up top.
A lot of pressure will be on Griezmann and Messi to make the difference when Granada come to town this weekend. Carles Perez will have to settle for a spot on the bench but might get a chance to make an impact if required.
