A player of the Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Kwara United FC of Ilorin, Saka Azeez, on Friday drooped and kicked the bucket in training.
The club’s Media Officer, Abdulwaheed Bibire, affirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Ilorin.
NAN reports that Azeez, 24, who was the child of previous African and Commonwealth Table Tennis Champion, Kasali Lasisi, drooped at the Kwara Stadium, Ilorin amid an instructional meeting.
By chance, his dad was one of the prominent Kwarans given a honor for his extraordinary commitment to games advancement on Thursday in Ilorin, as the state denoted its 50th commemoration.
Bibire portrayed the demise of the player as an inconsiderate stun, given his commitments to the club.
He said the whole soccer fans in the state will without a doubt miss him.
The Harmony Boys representative portrayed Azeez as a shrewd expert, on and off the pitch, agreeable, and a committed player.
“From Almighty Allah we come and to him might we return.
“Passing is an unavoidable end which each spirit will understanding, consequently the requirement for his family, companions, close partners and soccer fans to take comfort in God for the unsalvageable misfortune.
“He drooped in preparing and we hurried him to the State General Hospital, which is quite recently a few meters far from the stadium, where he was affirmed dead,” Bibire said.
NAN reviews that late Azeez is a left full back and joined the administrations of Kwara United from FC Zamfara toward the start of the ebb and flow 2017/2018 NNL season.
