National Assembly Workers Begin Strike, Block Entrances (Photos)

National assembly workers have resumed their strike action on Monday morning, this time threatening to cut-off power and have already blocked all entrances into the chambers.

PoliticsNGR gathered that Staff members of the National Assembly made a new demand for a better welfare package with a four-day warning strike which began with the protest this morning.

The decision to renew their protest was taken on Friday, in a meeting called for under the platform of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), where the body issued a 4-day warning strike notice to commence on Monday, Dec. 17.

Mr Bature Mohammed, the Chairman of the association, in a statement in Abuja on Saturday, said this decision was reached in an emergency congress held on Dec. 14.
