There were solid signs that the Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and a previous Governor of the state, Chief Olusegun Osoba have started supremacy war against 2019 governorship race in the state.

A group purportedly faithful to Osoba, drove by the Ogun Central Senatorial District Chairman of APC, Mr. Kunle Adesina, in Abuja on Tuesday, took a challenge to the national secretariat.
The group presented a request of to the National Chairman of the party, Chief John Oyegun, blaming Amosun for “exemption and inconvenience” in the state section of the ruling party.
The petition read in part, “The most recent egregious infringement of our party’s constitution happened amid the current congress held on Saturday, July 29, 2017, over the LGAs and LCDAs of the state.
“In every material specific, the Congresses did not take after the Constitution of the party and rules of directing such urgent exercise.
“We became more noticed with of the holding of these Congresses on state TV OGTV just a couple of hours before the occasion.
