[News] We didn’t accuse FG of killing IPOB members – S’ East governors

The South-East Governors’ Forum has depicted a report saying it blamed the Federal Government for murdering individuals from Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as a ”tissue of lie from the pit of hellfire.”

The Chairman of the Forum, Dave Umahi, in an announcement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Uzor, said the report was an invention of the author’s creative energy.

He said the report was proposed to humiliate the discussion and bring perplexity between the governors and central government to obstruct the peace forms started with IPOB.

“The originators of the falsehood are attempting to undermine the way toward advancing the zone and accomplish enduring peace in it,” the Ebonyi senator said.

He stated that despite the fact that it was the forum duty to protect the general population’s lives and property, including IPOB individuals, it ought not to be connected to governmental issues.

Umahi stated: “The author and his paymasters, neglected to value the peace understandings came to between the governors’ forum and leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, amid its last meeting in Enugu.

“The forum, in this manner, wishes to guarantee people in general that the dispatch raised amid its last meeting with IPOB authority still stands and anyone coursing any opposite report is Ndigbo’s genuine adversary.

“Such reports should, accordingly, be dismissed as there was no such meeting against the government by the discussion.”
