Human rights attorney, Femi Falana, has censured past Presidents and Vice-Presidents of Nigeria who possess private colleges.
Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo possesses Bells University of Technology, Ota, Ogun state, while previous Vice-President Atiku Abubakar is the organizer of American University of Nigeria in Yola, Adamawa state.
Talking at the dispatch of Sahara Reporters’ Civic Media Lab, Falana stated: “These folks who have rebuilt the economy of Nigeria. Or, on the other hand you don’t know that these folks rebuilt the economy of Nigeria to the degree that Nigeria is the main nation today where previous heads of states straightforwardly claim colleges.
“Have you at any point known about that anyplace on the planet that any semblance of Obasanjo, Atiku, Babangida and others, possess colleges, and obviously, the man who is presently pushing for rebuilding, Atiku, has a univerisity also.”
“None of these folks worked outside the legislature. One was a traditions officer, the others were troopers; their annuity can’t set up an elementary school, not to discuss a college. For youngsters, I think there is sufficient incitement with respect to the decision class,” he included.
