Gambia’s President-elect has said “the new period of Gambia is here finally”.

In a message presented on Twitter not long after the midnight due date passed, Adama Barrow composed: “My dearest Gambians – the administration of Yahya Jammeh is authoritatively over.

“The new time of Gambia is here finally”, under the hashtag #NewGambia.
