[News] : Pastor arrested for car theft in Anambra

The General Overseer of the Freedom City Ministry, Rev. Ugo Sam, has been captured in Anambra state for asserted auto theft.

The minister, whose congregation is situated at 77, Ezeiweka Road, Awada Layout, Obosi in Idemili North Local Government Area of the state, was captured by agents of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FSARS.

The Commander of the FSARS in the state, Sunday Okpe, who affirmed the capture to newsmen on Thursday, said he was captured taking after a tip-off to be the mind behind missing autos in the Awada zone and its environs.

Okpe portrayed the presume’s activities as an aggregate disrespect to the Christian commuity and his calling as a Pastor.

“He stole a Lexus 330 auto from where it was stopped.

“The auto proprietor, Obaji lives in a similar working with the suspect and the suspect, had on a few events, acquired Obaji’s auto for utilize and when the auto disappeared from where it was stopped, Obaji reported the matter to the police and after examinations, the stolen vehicle was followed to the reverend.

“He has been confined and as of now under cross examination for utilizing an ace key to take different exorbitant autos.

“The case has been enrolled in the court of skillful purview and on the resumption of the court after the merriments, Rev. Sam would be charged.”
