[News] SARS Stops Pan Niger Delta Forum Meeting In River

Intensely armed cops and men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS in the early morning of today (Thursday) blockaded Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt, where the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF should hold its fourth session.

The policemen stopped Hilux transports at the entrance of the lodging, consequently keeping vehicles from GRA to access Aba Road, similarly as they kept vehicles from moving into the hotel from the back door.

The meeting, which should start at 10 a.m. couldn’t hold, as a portion of the representatives who had arrived were turned back, and informed that the meeting can’t hold “in light of national intrigue.”
