[News] : Vice principal who allegedly impregnated student to remain in prison

The Vice-Principal of Day Secondary School, Tunga Minna, Mohammed, who supposedly impregnated a 16-year-old Student, has been denied safeguard.

Mohammed had before been remanded in jail after he conceded that he entered the young lady, however did not discharge sperm and couldn’t be in charge of the pregnancy.

The denounced, be that as it may, was remanded in jail till April 5, when the case was returned to in previous Magistrate’s Court 8 in Minna.

On the dismissed date, the guidance to the denounced, Mohammed Mustapha, argued for an oral application, saying the suspect did not lay down with the student.

“In perspective of this, we modestly make an oral application for his safeguard under the steady gaze of the court under the legacy and rights ward of the court,” he said.

He said the oral application for safeguard was introduced on segments 34, 35 and 36 of the 1999 Constitution as corrected, while asking the court to utilize its caution to concede the suspect to safeguard.

Police prosecutor, Corporal Hussaini Paiko, questioned the safeguard application, saying the continuous police examinations on the matter could be changed.

In her decision, Senior Magistrate Fati Auna, declined to allow safeguard to the suspect, requesting the advice to formally present the safeguard application in composing.

Auna requested the suspect be remanded in jail care in the wake of dismissing till April 26 for further hearing.
