The administration of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, has fixed the resumption of the 2019/2020 session for February 8, 2021.
Academics activities were disturbed by the Covid pandemic and a strike activity by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
OAU representative, Abiodun Olarewaju, said in explanation that the Senate met on Tuesday, January 19 to affirm various choices including the cancellation of the 2020/2021 academic session.

While the 2019/2020 session resumes on February 8, just last year undergraduates in the Faculty of Pharmacy, Clinical Students in the College of Health Sciences, and year four undergraduates in the Faculty of Agriculture are permitted to resume.
“Any remaining undergraduates are to attend their classes virtually” the statement read.
The college forewarned that staff, undergraduates, and different individuals from the university area should carefully stick to wellbeing rules to battle the spread of COVID-19.
The endorsed resumption program is dependent upon an intermittent survey by the real factors of the pandemic, as indicated by the establishment.
