On Friday, the Oyo State Police Command verified that three people lost their lives in a clash between supporters of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday in Ibadan’s Ile-Tuntun area, located in the Ibadan South East Local Government.

Adewale Osifeso, the spokesperson for the Oyo Police, spoke on Fresh FM Ibadan’s program, stating that the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (CID) has been tasked with leading an investigation team to the scene of the incident.

Osifeso said that the investigation was ongoing, and that people would be updated soon. He added that Oyo state, known for its sophistication, should not be known for hooliganism.

He also urged parents and guardians to prevent their children from being used to disrupt the electoral process, as heavy sanctions would be imposed on them.
