Telecommunication company, Etisalat, and Olamide Adedeji, indigenous rapper, have ended their partnership.
Olamide, CEO of YBNL, has been a brand ambassador of the telecommunication company for the past three years.
Etisalat expressed gratitude to the rapper in an Instagram post on Monday.
“Thank you for an amazing 3 years,” Etisalat said in a social media post.
The YBNL boss responded by thanking Etisalat for “believing” in him and “helping him grow”.
He said: “God bless my @etisalatnigeria family for the love and support all through the years. Thanks for believing in me and helping me grow.”
The ‘Shakitibobo’ hitmaker last year renewed his ambassadorship contract Etisalat.
An inside source, who chose to remain anonymous, revealed to IjebuLoaded Lifestyle that the rapper was dropped by Etisalat due to financial constraints.
The insider noted that Olamide was the highest paid celebrity endorsee among Etisalat’s brand ambassadors, earning way more than Ice Prince, Chocolate City rapper.
According to the insider, “Etisalat discontinued because of the economic recession” in the country.
Meanwhile, Alex Ikemefuna, the rapper’s manager, in a telephone conversation, said that he wasn’t kicked out nor did Etisalat refuse to renew his contract.
He maintained that Olamide chose not to renew, yet failed to divulge whether or not the rapper will be moving to another telecommunication company.Promote Your Music On This Platform Contact : Mobile : +2348132090729 BBM:33428A0F Email : firstname.lastname@example.org Twitter : @ijebuloadedNG
