Floyd Mayweather Jr. may have possessed the capacity to overcome Conor McGregor, however, there are some Nigerian “boxers” we are certain will give the American boxer a keep running for his cash.
Here are main five of Nigerian “boxers” Mayweather would stand no way against.
1.Dino Melaye
Fondly known by many Nigerians as ‘Senator Thug’, Dino Melaye knows a thing or two about punches. We are sure that Mayweather would be surprised to find that here in Nigeria, our politicians are ever ready for a good ol’ brawl.
2. Olisa Adibua
We know when you think about boxing and violence, Nigerian on-air personality, Olisa Adibua, may not be the first name to pop into your head but don’t let that smooth voice fool you.
Lest we forget, the Beat FM OAP allegedly battered a young colleague a couple years back. You better watch out Floyd!
3. Oritsefemi
Remember when the ‘Double Wahala‘ singer slapped a bouncer with a wine cup? Sure he was badly beaten at the end of the altercation but isn’t it the fiery spirit that counts? We are sure with that spirit, all Femi has to do is brush up on his punches and he’ll have Floyd beaten like a joke.
4. Davido
If Floyd thinks we are kidding about getting ruffled by our very own Nigerian pop star, Davido, then he should give Ice Prince a call and he’ll know its no joke.
Davido and Ice Prince were entangled in a brawl earlier this year and from what we heard, O.B.O had the upper hand. David will show Floyd that you should truly not judge a book by its cover.
5. Wizkid
Dammy Krane and Wizkid’s showdown at Quilox will forever go down as one of the most legendary boxing matches in Nigerian history but we have a hunch that a Wizkid and Mayweather fight would be even more iconic.
From the look of things, Wizkid and Floyd won’t find it hard to hit each other since. This also would be an awesome way to continue Wizzy’s string of foreign collaborations, don’t you think?
