The Independent National Electoral Commission has been under fire from singer Simisola Ogunleye-Kosoko, aka Simi, who claims the N350 billion wasted on election logistics should have been used to repair hospitals and schools.

The 300 billion naira spent on the 2023 elections, according to Nigerian musician Simisola Kosoko, commonly known as Simi, could have been used to repair hospitals and educational facilities.

This was declared by Simi on Monday, March 20, 2023 on her Twitter page.

She also voiced her disgust with the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) 2023 elections, which she felt were manipulated and the ruling class remained silent about it.

300 billion naira were allocated for this election, she wrote. @inecnigeria, you might as well have returned the funds to them to repair some hospitals and schools and then simply used your finger to indicate who you wanted to choose.

“The obvious rigging, yet nobody in authority spoke out against it. Lol. Massive issue in Africa.

“Anyone who witnessed the eviction and didn’t protest it had better continue to pray for Nigeria. She doesn’t require the prayers of individuals like you.
