Police arrest eight suspects with 11 human skulls in Kwara

The Nigeria Police Force on Wednesday stated it arrested 8 suspected ritual killers, which includes a girl with eleven human skulls in Ilorin, Kwara.

Jimoh Moshood, the Force Public Relations Officer, disclosed this at a news conference in Abuja.

He listed the suspects as Azeez Yakubu, the foremost suspect, Ahmed Yahaya, Abdulfatai Kadri ( Vigilante Commander), Aishat Yunisa, Lukman Saka, Abdulganiyu Bamidele, Soliu Ayinde and Abdulrasaq Babamle.

Mr. Moshood said objects recovered from the suspects included 11 human skulls, human bones, powder suspected to be human bones, human hair and some charms.

He stated that the arrest followed complaints to the police in Ilorin of missing individuals, kidnappings, and killings for ritual purpose.

The spokesman said that upon the arrival of the police joint investigation team in Ilorin on October 5, Yakubu, the important suspect, was arrested after a search was conducted in his No. 20 Ile Opa house.

He added that “during of the search, eleven human skulls, some pieces of human bones, human hair and powder suspected to be grounded human bones and charms had been recovered within the residence.”

Mr. Moshood stated that the suspects have been also concerned in exhuming lifeless our bodies from graves in the community and getting rid of their important body part for sale to distinguished personalities.

“The suspects confessed and admitted to having offered 31 human heads to a few personalities in Ilorin and different towns within the states and other states,” he stated.

The officer stated that every other suspect made confessional statements to the police on the various roles they performed inside the crime.
