The interim coach at Real Madrid, Santiago Solari, has said that every time Lionel Messi holds the ball, the earth shakes and the air trembles.
42-year-old Solari is currently in charge of affairs at the Santiago Bernabeu pending when the club finds a replacement for Julen Lopetegui who was sacked yesterday.
Mirror UK quoted the new Real Madrid coach saying:
“Scoring is intrinsic to Messi in the same way that storms, lightning or hurricane wins are atmospheric phenomena.
“Every time Messi receives the ball the earth shakes, everyone is silent and rival coaches sink their heads between their shoulders and put their hands in their pockets, like someone who has just seen lightning and has no choice but to wait for thunder. The air trembles a few seconds. Then the goal is heard.”
After losing 5-1 in the El Clasico fixture against Barcelona last weekend at Camp Nou, Real Madrid will take on Valladolid in their stadium on Saturday.
Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken up about why he left Real Madrid after attaining the status of ‘legend’ at the club.
World famous footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo has finally opened up on reason he decided to leave Spanish giant Real Madrid FC for Italian clubside Juventus.
Ronaldo said he sensed that the Spanish club’s president, Florentino Perez, no longer saw him as being “indispensable”.
“I felt within the club, especially from the president, that I was no longer considered in the same way as I was at the beginning,” Ronaldo said in an interview with France Football magazine.
