Barcelona skipper, Lionel Messi, won his 6th Ballon d’Or award in Paris on Monday night. Messi took the prize home, in front of Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool and Juventus forward, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Argentine got 686 democratic point to Van Dijk’s 679.

A top columnist in each FIFA-enlisted nation, is given a vote card to pick his five top players.

Sam Audu of Score Nigeria was chosen from Nigeria.

Audu picked Messi, Van Dijk, Ronaldo, Mbappe and Mane in a specific order.

Britain’s voter, Henry Winter, picked van Dijk has his No.1, with Messi, Ronaldo, Raheem Sterling and Alisson his different choices.
