Nigerian music legend and activist, Onyeka Onwenu, has discredited the spate of nakedness and foulness in music recordings of music released by more youthful artistes in the nation.
She communicated her abhor at the way in which women today enable themselves to be paraded on TV in sultry clothes, in a current talk with Hip TV.
Onwenu, who was a past Executive Director of the National Center for Women Development, in any case, communicated trust that as today’s artistes develop more established, they will encounter a change which will change their way of life and their music.
She stated: “I feel tragic when I watch and see every one of these videos that ought not be showed.
“I loathe what they are doing to the ladies. I loathe what the ladies are doing to themselves – enabling themselves to play such parts.
“Be that as it may, I am comforted by a certain something; the youthful might develop. You can begin off singing all these nonsense and shaking ‘bum-bum’ what not. Yet, the occasion is not too far off when you understand that there is a whole other world to life and that ability that is given to you is implied for more noteworthy things, and that is the point at which you have that switch.
“In this way, I am observing all these new artistes and trusting that sooner or later in their lives – in their young lives, they will go to that acknowledgment.”
