Breaking! 36-year-old dies of coronavirus in Lagos

The Lagos State Government has declared that a 36-year-elderly person passed on of coronavirus in the state.

The Lagos Commissioner for Health, Prof. Associated Abayomi, made the declaration using his Twitter handle on Sunday.

He said that the Nigerian kicked the bucket on Saturday in a private office. Abayomi affirmed the passing as the second coronavirus casualty recorded in Lagos.

The PUNCH reports that a 55-year-elderly person who kicked the bucket on Friday, April 2 at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, was the first coronavirus-related passing recorded in Lagos.

The health minister, who likewise affirmed that Lagos had recorded six new COVID-19 cases, said another coronavirus tolerant had been emptied from the state.

He tweeted, “We lost a COVID-19 patient – a 36-year-old Nigerian male who passed on in a private office on the fourth of April, 2020. (The) all outnumber of #COVID-19 patients who have kicked the bucket are currently two.

“A case was cleared bringing all-out emptied to two.

“Six new instances of #COVID-19 affirmed, carrying absolute affirmed cases to 115. A #COVID-19 patient was released on the fourth of April, 2020. The quantity of #COVID-19 patients, who have completely recuperated and released is currently 24.”

Abayomi’s affirmation came to a couple of hours after the Nigeria Center for Disease Control on Sunday reported that the nation had recorded one more passing and two releases.

The PUNCH reports that the NCDC prior declared 10 new instances of COVID-19 in Lagos, Abuja, and Edo State.

NCDC said that of the 10 new cases, Lagos has six, while Abuja and Edo have two cases each.

The new cases brought Nigeria’s affirmed COVID-19 cases to 224.

Twenty-seven of the cases had recuperated and released while five passing had been recorded.

As of now, Lagos has 115 cases; Abuja-45; Osun-20; Oyo and Edo have nine cases each, Bauch – six; Akwa Ibom-five; Ogun and Kaduna four cases each.

Others are Enugu and Ekiti-two cases each, while Rivers and Benue and Ondo States have one case individually.
