I make over N300,000 monthly begging – Drug suspect

A suspected medication fiend captured by the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command has uncovered that he made over N300,000 month to month from asking in Ikeja, Lagos State.

Kehinde Olatubosun, 56, from Ibadan, Oyo State, was on Saturday night captured alongside 18 other medication addicts at a joint in Ipodo, Ikeja.

A group of Rapid Response Squad Decoy Team had on Saturday night followed a stolen telephone to the joint, prompting the capture of a three-man posse cellular telephone criminals, three hard medication vendors and 13 drug addicts.

Olatubosun expressed that he made over N10,000 every day asking at Mobolaji Bank Anthony Roundabout, close to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Toyin Street and Opebi, all in Ikeja.

He said: “Each day I make over N10,000 every day doing corporate asking.

“All days of the week, I am dependably in Mobolaji Bank Anthony Roundabout, Toyin Street Roundabout and Opebi.

“On occasion, I team up with homeless people.

“Whatever we make, we share, yet I get a bigger offer.

“What I do is that I get LASUTH drug remedy papers.

“I get it from their waste canister.

“With this in my grasp, I persuade drivers, travelers and bystanders that I have a relative who is in desperate need of cash to purchase drugs and I demonstrat to them the remedy papers.

“This is the thing that I have been doing since I was extradited from Germany in 2004.

“Prior to the expelling, I was filling in as Electrical Engineer in Bauhusa, Colon, Germany.

“I was in Germany for a long time before I was expelled.

“I was gotten possessing drug in Germany, so they expelled me.

“I have four youngsters.

“Two are in Germany with my wife.

“One is in Texas, United States and another in Nigeria.

“Tragically, all the cash I make from this asking goes into medications.

“For quite a while, I am dependably there, seven days a week.

“I profit on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

“I make more than N10,000 on weekends.
