FasasiAs part of its effort to promote good and affordable transport in the country at the push of a button, Uber Nigeria has announced that from November 3 to 13, all riders in Lagos would get 50 per cent off their trips.
Speaking on the campaign, General Manager Uber West Africa, Ebi Atawodi, stated that it is aimed to reward loyal riders in Lagos who have made Uber their preferred choice of transportation, giving riders a more affordable option to move around their city and drivers an increase in demand for trips, adding that Lagos has always been a key city in Nigeria and Africa.
She said: “We are always looking at innovative ways to celebrate riders, drivers and cities and we thought it was only fitting, as we come closer to the end of the year celebrations, that we reward our loyal riders with a 50 per cent discount promotion.”
Atawodi further explained that to partake in the promotion, riders do not need to do anything, as Uber would be creating an auto-apply discount code to ensure that rides taken throughout the campaign period are automatically discounted.
